Potato Chip Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies

Halloween Countdown day 23: PCCCC's and Heart of Darkness

potato chip cocoa cookies

Here is a cookies done two ways that truly “embodies” what Halloween is all about- the tricks and the treats (and the gore!).  These cookies have a rich cocoa base that holds onto either potato chips or frosted flakes- both versions are junk food heavens- the combination of salty and sweet, and crunchy and sweet can’t be beat.  To compliment the creepy, crackly look of the cookies I added white chocolate bones- like pieces popping out of the freshly over turned soil in a graveyard, but much tastier!  I think its fun to mix these up in one bowl, so people never know which great flavor combination they are going to get…you can’t get more trick AND treat than that!

For this yummy, but out there cookie- I can’t think of anything more perfectly suited than Army of Darkness!  There are skeletons and bad jokes galore in this cult classic of all cult classics (shhh don’t tell Rocky Horror Picture Show!) and it is on Hulu.
