white chocolate no tricks just treat fudge

halloween countdown day 19, white chocolate fudge and disney's halloween treat

One thing that always reminds me of vacations is fudge- I never really think about it at home except at Christmas, but any trip to the beach or some sleepy Irish town calls for fudge.  Since this year any trips are on pause, I thought it might be fun to bring the flavors of a small fudge shop (fudgery?) to the kitchen and keep it halloween themed.  This is the easiest white chocolate fudge in the history of fudge, the only thing a bit challenging is timing out your layers if you want to go the candy corn style route, otherwise just enjoy the beige color of this fudge you can whip up in literally five minutes hands on time.

Something this easy, reliable and fun has to be matched with A Disney Halloween.  It’s a mash up of all things Disney spooky from pre-1980s and includes a who’s who of Disney villains (feel free to comment on your favorite villain, mine is definitely Maleficent because who doesn’t love a popping collar?) .  The clips are a halloween costume idea bonanza if you are still looking for inspiration.   It’s also great fun like these “candy corn” fudge pieces!

  • pour the yellow portion into your brownie pan and place in fridge for 30 minutes, reserve yellow bowl for next steps (don't wash it just yet)
  • reheat the remaining fudge until melted
  • pour half the remaining fudge into the old yellow bowl and dye it orange
  • pour this orange fudge on top of the yellow chilled layer, refridgerate for 30 mintues
  • gently remelt remaining white fudge and pour on top of chilled fudge
  • let harden in fridge for 2 hours
  • pop out of pan and cut into slabs which you then cut into triangles

Notes

fudge can also be left uncolored, or made other colors and topped with sprinkles.
