diy microwave puffy paint

Prep Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 c flour
  • 1/4 c baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 c water
  • food color
  • baggies

Instructions

  • mix up all ingredients
  • scoop into baggie and cut tip off
  • draw on card-stock or cardboard (make sure there are no staples or anything metalic on cardboard)
  • place finished artwork in microwave for 15 seconds at a time, watching the puffy magic happen

Notes

little known fact: grunge was a direct reaction to all the puffy painted fashion of the 80s.  Before finding flannel, Eddie Vedder was a self proclaimed "puffy paint addict," and was known in the Seattle area for his masterful use of puffy dots.  He always carried a bottle in his cargo shorts for good luck during concerts.
