magic brew/ festive floats

1 envelope kool aid (grape is most halloweenish!) (blues and reds are great for 4th of July)
1 scoop ice cream
1 bottle ginger ale

pour kool aid into a clean, dry glass (it will be whitish- and only gains color when wet!)
place scoop of ice cream over powder
dramatically pour ginger ale and say a magic incantation if halloween, pledge of allegiance if for 4th of July. whatever "floats" your boat

after the glass is wet, subsequent floats are not as dramatic, so really milk the first pours for all their color changing surprise!
